Presentation by: Kristin Musselman, PhD PT, Scientist with the Neural Engineering and Therapeutics Team 
and the Mobility Team at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute – Lyndhurst Centre

After completing the Muscle Stimulation training, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain how different stimulation parameters affect neuro-physiological response to electrical stimulation, and demonstrate effective manipulation of these parameters.
  2. Select neurological clients who are appropriate for muscle stimulation.
  3. Apply 1-channel and 2-channel muscle stimulation effectively.

 

Three-part Workshop -

     Participants must attend all 3 parts:

  • Session 1: June 5 2-4 pm  Theoretical overview (webinar) 

  • Session 2: June 22 OR 23 9-1 pm  Half day (hands-on) practical session

  • Session 3: September 11 12-1 pm  Knowledge Translation (webinar)
